Material and Circuit Formation
Flexible base materials are prepared, circuits are imaged and etched, and coverlay openings are processed according to the approved design.

What is the difference between flexible PCB and rigid-flex PCB?
A flexible PCB is mainly a bendable circuit board. A rigid-flex PCB combines rigid PCB sections and flexible circuit sections in one structure, helping reduce connectors and cable assemblies in compact products.
What files should I send for an FPC board quotation?
Please send Gerber files, drill file, board outline drawing, stack-up notes, bend direction, bend radius, stiffener and coverlay requirements. If assembly is needed, also send BOM and placement files.
Can YC PCB support 4-layer flex PCB?
Yes. Four-layer flexible PCB is available for compact designs with greater routing density. Final feasibility and construction are confirmed from the Gerber data, stack-up and bend requirements.
When should I choose rigid-flex PCB?
Choose rigid-flex PCB when your product needs rigid component mounting areas and flexible interconnect sections in a small space, especially when cable connections may reduce reliability or increase assembly complexity.
