This structure is suitable when a high-power LED or power device needs a direct copper heat path while the electrical circuit remains insulated.

The copper heat path, electrical circuit and insulation areas are manufactured according to the approved structure drawing.

Provide the LED thermal pad, current, heat-sink contact area and board outline so the quotation matches the actual product assembly.

Thermoelectric separation copper substrates are selected for compact products with concentrated heat and strict temperature-control requirements. Provide the heat source, current, insulation voltage, copper base and assembly details to receive the correct manufacturing route and quotation.
Separate Heat and Current Paths
The separated structure transfers heat toward the copper base while maintaining the required electrical isolation around the circuit.

The purple copper base provides stronger heat spreading for projects where a standard aluminum substrate cannot meet the required temperature rise or service-life target.

Thermal Electric Isolation Structure
Your manufacturing files should clearly identify the heat-source contact area, insulated regions, high-current circuit path, copper base thickness and mounting interface.

Mark the circuit layer, insulation region, copper base and critical tolerances clearly in the drawing package.

The thermal contact area is manufactured to transfer heat efficiently from the component pad into the copper base.

High-current circuit areas and copper heat-spreading areas are controlled as separate functional zones.

A standard copper PCB normally transfers heat through an insulating layer, while a thermoelectric separation structure can provide a more direct thermal route at designated pads.

When should I choose a heat power separation board instead of a normal copper PCB?
Choose this construction for products with concentrated heat, high current, limited space or demanding lifetime targets, including high-power lighting, automotive lighting, power modules, projectors, stage lights and optical electronics.
Can YC PCB make custom shapes and mounting holes?
Yes. Provide the board outline, mounting holes, copper base thickness, thermal-pad position and heat-sink contact area. CNC milling, V-Cut and tooling can be included in the manufacturing route.
What surface finishes are available?

What files are needed for quotation?
Please send Gerber RS-274X, Excellon drill data, board and copper-base thickness, surface finish, solder-mask color, thermal-pad drawing, LED or device datasheet, expected quantity, and BOM and placement files when assembly is required.
Can I order a prototype before mass production?
Yes. Prototype and low-volume production are supported. Sample approval can be used to lock the construction, dimensions and inspection criteria before repeat production.
Is thermoelectric separation more expensive than standard aluminum PCB?
Generally, yes. Copper material, separation structures, precision machining and additional inspection can increase cost compared with standard aluminum PCB. It is selected when the required thermal performance and reliability justify the added manufacturing cost.
How do you check quality before shipment?
Available quality controls include AOI, electrical continuity, insulation or withstand-voltage testing when specified, flatness and dimension checks, surface-finish inspection, protective packing and shipment records.
